Ali & Scott : Wedding

Ali and Scott were married in May 2009. They choose Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains as their location for their special day. With unseasonal snowfall a few days before made the perfect backdrop for a white wedding. Ali is my gorgeous sister so I couldn't help jumping in head first with organising the invitations, flowers and decorations for the day.

Ali and Scott love the Australian bushland so it's no wonder they choose native flowers and foliage for their day. Grass spikes were strung together in pyramid formations and placed at the entrance of the Church. The grass spikes were collected from their property in Braidwood NSW.
The reception was held at Credo Restaurant in Thredbo. The tables were dressed in native flowers and foliage, and decorated with tea light candles to create a cosy feel. The place cards were printed in black ink on recycled card with a natural twine to link back to the invitations.

Jodie and David : Wedding Invitations

Jodie and David wanted a modern take on a bamboo motif for their invitations. Black line work and main body text with vibrant red feature text was printed on textured linen card with matching white envelopes.

The design was very intricate with each individual leaf and branch detailed.
Jodie and David's wedding was held in the Botanical Gardens, Sydney. The ceremony was held on one the the gardens picturesque lawns, with leafy surrounds and a dramatic cityscape backdrop. The black and white theme was carried through to the dresses, Jodie's elegant movie star dress had a delicate black waist band, which matched the bridesmaids strapless black dresses.
The bamboo theme from the invitations was carried through to the place cards and table settings.  A simple black and white modern look.
The reception was only a short walk through the gardens to the Botanical Gardens Restaurant. The room was decorated with bamboo table settings and strings of white lanterns on the verandah in keeping with the modern Chinese theme of the day.

Caroline & Matthew : Wedding Invitation

Caroline and Matthew’s wedding was held at The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron in Kirribilli. Established in 1862, the historic grounds of the garden and clubhouse suited a traditional theme and a baroque motif was chosen. The red baroque motif used for the invitations was carried right through to the wedding decorations, place cards, table numbers and the order of service booklet.

Each table was decorated with a ring of flowers with a wax candle lantern in the centre. Handmade paper butterflys placed on each wine glass.
Handmade paper cones filled with red and white rose petals were given to each guest to throw in celebration after the ceremony. The red velvet chase longue was a centerpiece for the ceremony and was used for signing the register.

The bridesmaids wore vintage inspired crème dresses contrasted with red beads and some ever so stylish red suede heels in keeping with the colour theme.
